Return-to-work Psychological Readiness Assessment, Accommodation Support, and Case Management
When an employee/member requests for time off from work or is on extended leave due to psychological strain/injury/illness or substance/alcohol dependency, there is a need to ensure that they get the support and assistance they need to return to work. In general, the longer an individual is off work, the more difficult it is for them to get back to work.
Aside from providing evidence-based psychological counselling/therapy and addictions care to help your employee/member deal with their issues and prepare to return to work, our therapists and addictions specialists can further support your employee’s/member’s return to work and your handling of their case through the following:
RTW Assessment and Accommodation
Our therapists can assess the type and extent of your employee’s/member’s psychological strain/injury/illness or addictions, their readiness to return to work as well as provide them and you with recommendations for proper accommodation at work and specific psychological or addictions care where applicable. Such an assessment provides both you and your employee/member with a clearer insight of the difficulties they are facing and the specific support they need to return to work.
Completing such an assessment and fulfilling the recommendations at the early stage of your employee’s/member’s time off work can likely help to improve their situation and reduce the duration and/or frequency of time off from work.
Return-to-work Follow-up Support
Once an employee/member has returned to work from being off work or being on extended leave due to psychological strain/injury/illness or substance/alcohol dependency, it does not necessary mean that they have fully recovered and their issues are resolved. In most cases, continued counselling and/or treatment is needed not only to ensure progress in recovery and rebuilding but also to prevent relapse or deterioration.
Our therapists and addictions specialists can support your employees/members in their journey or recovery. Aside from being able to care for clients with different psychological issues, each therapist at Insight is also required to develop and advance their expertise in one or more areas of specialization. As well, they are further supervised or guided by some of the leading experts and/or very seasoned specialists in the field. Instead of getting a generalist who may have some knowledge in a specific area of mental health concern, your employee/member will be matched with a therapist who specializes in the employee’s/member’s area of concern.
