Cognitive Impairment, Deterioration, and Injury Rehabilitation/Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)
If an employee/member has sustained any of the following, they may experience some degree of cognitive impairment.
- Traumatic brain injury (e.g. due to accidents)
- Heart Attack
- Severe illness
- Serious Medical Condition
- Specific Psychological Conditions
There could be a noticeable weakening of their concentration and attention, memory, learning and retention, self-regulation, speech and language, information processing speed, reasoning, planning, and problem-solving speed or ability. Aging individuals, even without any brain injury or medical condition can also experience cognitive deterioration where a slowdown in cognitive function is noticeable. Such impairment or deterioration can in turn affect one’s ability to work, communicate, maintain relationships, and/or carry out daily tasks that were once routine.
If your employee/member experience some of these challenges, their psychological health may also be affected. They may feel worried and frustrated with their decreased ability to do some of the things that they could previously do with ease, they may feel more anxious, become less confident in their abilities, tire faster, or they may feel depressed and isolated with the change in their abilities.
As such, initiating cognitive rehabilitation as well as psychological care as soon as possible is essential in facilitating the employee’s/member’s recovery process.
Using state-of-art perceptual-cognitive equipment and tools, we can help your employee/member to assess, re-train and re-build, as much as possible, their cognitive and functional abilities and to gain new skills to compensate for what was lost. We will also help them to deal with the psychological and relational impact of their impairment. Ultimately, we aim to help your employee/member regain a noticeable degree of their cognitive functions and their independence.

Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS)
rTMS is an effective, non-invasive process in which a focused magnetic field stimulates under-active brain cells, activates them to work more efficiently and transforms lives through symptom reduction. rTMS can be particularly effective when used to treat severe depression, anxiety, and burnout that has not fully responded to conventional treatments (medication/therapy). Together with our partner, NeuroMed, we offer rTMS to our clients who:
- May need an alternative treatment option or a combination of treatment options.
- Have had difficulty coping with some of the side effects of medication or do not wish to take medication.
